Join in 6th Grade
Sixth grade is the best time to join the band! Here is what you need to know about band class in 6th grade:
- Band classes are offered at each of our feeder elementary schools for Cain Middle School
- Classes are 45 minutes and meet three days a week based on your instrument
- We start all instruments, including percussion
If you want to join the band in 6th grade, here is what you need to do:
- Put band as your first choice on your Elective Choice form, which is typically sent out in February/March.
- Sign up for a personal instrument screening appointment at Cain. Appointments will be available after Spring Break.
- Obtain your instrument and supplies at our instrument drive typically in May. You will receive information about the drive at your screening.
